MediaPort is a robust, integrated solution which allows Administrators to migrate digital assets en mass from any system into Autonomy’s Virage MediaBin repository.

MediaPort provides the ability to add additional metadata to a digital asset file in addition to the ones embedded in the file that are naturally extracted. Metadata can also be dynamically created from an input file and added to a large numbers of assets in bulk.

Multiple columns in an import file can also be combined into a single metadata field. The system provides options allowing the user to apply selected settings across multiple folders and subfolders without having to perform separate imports. Upon importing, you can choose whether you would like to put all assets in one folder on the MediaBin Server or use the folder mapping option to select assets to import to different locations.
