The MailPort product provides the power of Bulk Import in addition to the ability to assign message profile information at folder, subfolder, and event level for individual email items. This product is run by the Administrator and provides import functionality for transferring email into the WorkSite Document Management System (DMS).

MailPort runs on a Microsoft Windows 2000 workstation/server and interacts with both a SQL Server and the WorkSite Server 7.x/8.x.

This product allows users to see exactly what the information in each email’s profile will look like (for your entire import) prior to importing a single email. You also have the ability to see the results of your dynamic profiling before any imports are completed. MailPort is equipped with additional features that will allow you to:

• Import email from Microsoft Outlook to WorkSite.
• Specify email profiles based on client and matter information ethical wall.
• Specify email profiles based on folder structures.
• Specify email profiles based on and individual email.
• Propagate common attributes to email messages based on specified folder structures.
• Use dynamic profile information to derive profile metadata from the message path.
• Duplicate your email folder structure within the WorkSite folder tree.
