Old links, new homes, no broken clicks.

Link Interceptor keeps existing document links working after a migration, consolidation or library move, redirecting each old link to where the document lives now.

Every move leaves thousands of links behind

A move to iManage Cloud, a library consolidation, an archive run or a migration from an older DMS all change where documents live. The links already sitting in emails, matter systems, intranet pages and precedents do not change with them. Users hit dead links, people recreate documents they cannot find, and the helpdesk gets the tickets.

What you get

  • Transparent redirection. An old link opens the document from its new location, with no action from the user.
  • Legacy links included. Handles iManage Work and WorkSite links, and links from eDOCS and PCDOCS systems whose content has been migrated into iManage.
  • One central mapping. Administrators define the mapping once, centrally. Documents that have moved more than once are still found. Works with Transfer, with RBRO migrations, or with your own mapping table.
  • Cloud and on-premises destinations. Redirects to iManage Cloud or to iManage Work on premises, including after a move from one to the other.
  • No duplicate documents. Nobody recreates link files or re-saves documents they could not find.
  • Silent deployment. The workstation client installs silently through your usual software distribution.

Works with

iManage Cloud and iManage Work on premises, with the iManage desktop client on Windows 10 and 11.

Common questions

Does it work for links in Outlook and other systems?

Yes. A link is intercepted when it is opened on a workstation with the client installed, wherever the link is stored.

‍

Does it work after a move to iManage Cloud?

Yes. Links redirect to iManage Cloud or on-premises destinations, including after an on-premises-to-cloud migration.

‍

Do we need Transfer as well?

No. Link Interceptor works on its own, and pairs with Transfer when you are moving content yourself.
