Workspace Management creates iManage Work workspaces from your matter data, keeps them matching the firm's approved structures, and lets users add approved folders themselves.

Every matter needs a workspace built to the firm's standard

Built by hand, or by scripts nobody wants to touch, workspace structures drift. Folders differ between practice groups, security is applied inconsistently, and administrators spend their days on repetitive changes instead of governance.

What you get

• Folder packages you govern. Design approved workspace structures once, by drag and drop: tabs, document folders, search folders, metadata and security.
• Automated provisioning from matter data. Create and update workspaces from your practice management or other databases, on a schedule or on demand. Rules pick the right package and library for each matter.
• Structures that stay standard. Push package changes to existing workspaces: add missing folders, move or delete folders that are not in the template, and update document profiles and security.
• Security from your data. Set workspace and folder security from matter data, and create missing metadata values across libraries automatically.
• Quick Deploy for users. Users add approved folders, or whole workspaces where you permit it, from the iManage Work web client, within limits you set.
• Shortcuts delivered. Create My Matters shortcuts for the right users as workspaces are deployed, and purge them later.
• Built for real matters. Optional and repeatable folders, such as one per party, reassignment to a different package, and merging of duplicate folders.

Common questions

Do we need a practice management system?

No. Workspace data can come from any SQL or ODBC database, including an export from your practice management system, and users can create approved structures themselves with Quick Deploy.

Can it update workspaces that already exist?

Yes. Template changes and metadata or security updates apply to existing workspaces as well as new ones.

Does it work with iManage Cloud?

Yes. On Nucleus Cloud, connections to your databases go through an agent on your own network, so credentials never leave it.
